The Shine Event

For our May project we participated in the SLC Shine Event.

The darling Ashley from My Shine Project

hosts Shine Events all around the country.

The money from admission to participate in the event goes to her foundation which raises money for scholarships to send underprivileged kids to school.

The event was a scavenger hunt, sending teams off to do random acts of kindness.

brookie and the adorable megan {from here} opening a stall in a public restroom that was locked from the inside. this pic was taken right after brooke hoisted megan up to reach over and unlock the door which immediately swung open with megan still hanging over it, bless her heart. funniest moment of the day.

{side note: our new friend megan arrived at the event just as we were taking off to start our scavenger hunt so we were lucky enough to grab her and take her with us. spending time with her was a highlight of the day! she's lovely! check out her blog, you'll see what i mean!}

we rocked the scavenger hunt!
we played in the rain {cause it was pouring that day}
we got warm fuzzies from doing lovely funny things.
and we met our new bff - megan!
it was just a lovely day of goodness.
